Absinthe, “The Green Faeirie,” is the most mythical of all alcoholic beverages. Almost all artists, actors, writers and intellectualls know about absinthe and it is sometimes a part of their image to drink absinthe. Mix essence, sugar, and vodka (or any neutral spirits) to create a natural absinthe. You do not have to pay US$100-$160 for a good bottle of absinthe: one that perhaps contains the same essence you will use.

Sazerac

Pour 2 cl absinte in a previously-chilled glass. Swirl until the absinthe covers the entire inside of the glass. Pour in 6 cl whisky, 1 teaspoonful of sugar, and 3 drops of Angostura with ice into the shaker. Shake well and strain off into the coated absinthe glass. A classic!
