Instructions: Pour 20 ml (65 fl.oz) of absinthe essence and 75 grams (2.5 oz.) of granulated sugar into a 750 ml (US 25 fl. oz.) bottle. Fill 3/4 full with neutral spirits or vodka–40-60% of your choice–and shake the bottle until the sugar has dissolved. Top up the bottle and shake until the contents have fully blended.
Shake 2 cl absinthe, 2 cl apple brandy and 2 cl orange bitters with ice, then strain into a traditional martini cocktail glass. Heat a large ring of orange peel over an open flame until the oil of orange is released, then allow the oil to drip into the glass. Garnish with a ring of orange peel for a great show!
Superior quality made from natural ingredients only.
Our absinte essence is made from 22 different herbs and spices. Most widely known are star aniseed and wormwood. We do not know of any absinte essence that is better – if we did, we would be selling it. This is the same essence that we sell to absinte manufacturers worldwide.
This beautiful, four-color label is printed on a glossy, self adhesive paper. A high-gloss coating was added to give even more depth. The label is 90 x 90 millimeters, and was designed by Roger Abrahamsson, a Swedish grapic designer. It took nine full days to make this label – it is a work of art.
You get six labels for free when you buy the set (enough for 13 bottles). You can refill your bottles many times, and you may want to use some of the labels on other bottles and give them to special friends.
Absinte tastes so good that it was removed from the French wine industry. Using lobbying and dirty tricks, they managed to get absinthe banned in most countries throughout the world. This is why absinthe is very rare today.
The wine industry claimed that one went insane from the thujone in the absinte. There is thujone in our natural essence, but no more than in Wormwood Vodka, Jagermeister and similar liquors. You do not go mad from drinking absinthe.
With ice water
Absinthe can be diluted to taste with ice water.
With champagne
Instead of ice water, champagne can be used as the mixer (the slightly decadent option!). In Italy, Franciacorta or Prosecco are often used instead of champagne.
With beer!?
In Italy a measure of absinthe is poured into a glass of beer.
Absinthe Bull
Pour 4 cl absinthe into a glass with an ice cube and admire the magnificent colour. Then top off with ice-cold RED BULL®.
Death in the Afternoon
Pour 4 cl absinthe in a champagne glass. Add a sugar cube soaked in Angostura bitters ® and fill with sparkling wine (inspired by Hemingway).
